このブログのURLは"comfort.saloon.jp"としておりましたが、このたびドメイン"dr-seo.net"を取得し、このブログの入り口といたしました。なお、comfort.saloon.jpからも、引き続きアクセス可能です。
今回の試みの目的は、大きく分け得て次の二つ。
第一に、このブログをもう少し本格的なものにしたいということ。さくらの提供する"saloon.jp"のサブドメインでは、見た目が悪い（本気度を疑われる）という問題がありますし、なにをしたいURLか、伝わりにくいのではないかと危惧いたしました。
第二には、サブドメインではないオリジナルのURLを入口にしておりますと、グーグルアドセンスの宣伝を載せることができるというメリットがあります。
このブログのページビューは、現在のところ50/日程度とさほど多くはないのですが、きちんと収益化に注力すれば、独自URLの年間料金（一千数百円）程度の収入はあるはずで、少なくとも損にはならないでしょう。
さらに、今後アクセスを増加させれば利益も増えるわけで、アクセス増に向けた各種試みをする上でのインセンティブと言いますか、やる気を出すための餌になることも期待できるというものです。
dr-seo.netの意味は、私の個人的な意見や主張を発信する場という意味で、seoは私の名前だし、学位（Ph.D）を取得しておりますので、敬称"Dr."を付けるのも普通のことなのですね。
一つ問題があるのは、SEOはgoogleなどの検索にヒットしやすくする「サーチエンジンオプティマイズ」の略で「ドクターSEO」などという製品も出ていて紛らわしい点ですが、私が自分の名を名乗るのに何の遠慮もいらないはずであろう、と勝手に判断しております。
".net"は、以前は、インターネットプロバイダなどが利用するトップドメインだったのですが、今日ではこの制約は外されています。個人がネットに発信するときのトップドメインとしては、企業を意味する".com"および組織を意味する".org"に比べて、".net"はより適合性が高いような気がいたします。
まあ、".jp"などがより妥当ということもあるかもしれませんが、少なくとも"dr-seo.jp"は既にとられてしまっております。"dr-seo.net"はある種の妥協ではありますが、妥当な名づけであるようにも思われます。
さて、本ブログは、アクセス数こそ頭打ちとなっておりますが、かなりデスラプティブ（破壊的）な内容もいくつか含まれております。これらを更に世に問うため、来年は、多言語化に取り組みたいと考えております。
多言語化といいましても、まずは（最後まで？）英語版であり、それも重要コンテンツの英語版をつくるという形でまずは展開する考えです。
英語化は、Google翻訳を使えば、さほど苦労もせずにできそうです。英語から日本語に翻訳された書物を引用する部分は、日本語版から更に英訳することは問題が生じそうです。ここは、多言語版エントリーは、一旦内容を見直して、英語版のある書物からの引用は原則削除、という形にすることとなりそうです。
さくらのレンタルサーバーは、データベースを二つ設定できる形で契約しており、その気になればWordPressを二つ立ち上げることもできます。これを利用すれば、現在のブログを運営しつつ、二カ国語完全対応のブログを立ち上げていくこともできるはず。最後には、そのような形も狙っていきたいところです。
少々早い新年の抱負みたいになってしまいましたが、まあ、そのような野望を胸に、今回新しいドメインを設定した次第。新たなURLもご愛顧のほど、よろしくお願いいたします。
